Job description

We are seeking a positive, energetic, detail-oriented, and ethical veterinary assistant with strong team-player skills to help ensure superior patient and client care. Your Responsibilities Will Include
  1. Assisting veterinarians with veterinary medicine, including but not limited to client communication, drawing vaccines, administering fluids, performing radiographs, collecting and preparing lab samples.
  2. Assisting veterinarians with surgery procedures, including preparing the surgery suite with instruments, performing intubation and pre-anesthetic procedures, monitoring patients post-operatively, and updating patient records.
  3. Performing dentistry procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth using dental equipment, performing fluoride treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and assisting veterinarians with extractions.
  4. Performing necessary treatments for hospitalized patients following all instructions set forth by veterinarians.
  5. Supporting referral veterinarians in house with procedures as needed.
  6. Maintaining cleanliness of exam rooms, surgery suite, treatment areas, and kennels while following OSHA guidelines.
  7. Working a combination of surgery days and days on day admit, drop-off, tech appointments, and in-room appointments.

We are seeking someone interested in full-time daytime shifts. Wednesdays are mandatory, and our clinic is open Monday through Saturday.

The base hourly range for this position is $23 - $25. Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location, skills, experience, and education.
