Arista Advance Pet Care in New York seeks an experienced Veterinary Surgery Technician or Assistant to support the surgeon before, during, and after procedures. You will be involved in anesthesia, surgical prep, and patient monitoring to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
• Veterinary Technician Certification (LVT, RVT, or CVT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in care and monitoring of surgery patients, including preparation and sterile field setup.
• Monitor anesthesia levels and vital signs before, during and after surgery.
• Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies in a sterile environment.
• Assist with pre-surgical assessments and IV catheter placement.
• Provide post-surgical care and client education on aftercare instructions.
• Collect diagnostic samples and assist with imaging procedures.
