Job summary

Animal Specialty Center (ASC) in Yonkers, NY is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician, Surgery to work with board-certified surgeons and a collaborative team. You will enhance anesthesia skills and provide high-quality surgical nursing in a specialty hospital setting.

We welcome new credentialed technicians for mentoring and growth; experienced technicians will join a strong peer network. Weekend differentials apply and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Active CVT, LVT, or RVT credential (or eligibility) in New York.
• Experience in surgery, anesthesia, or specialty veterinary medicine preferred.
• Strong understanding of anesthetic monitoring, drug calculations, and patient safety protocols.
• Fluent English speaking and reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing surgical cases alongside surgeons and skilled technicians.
• Participate in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Obtain and process laboratory samples (blood, urine, fluids, FNA).
• Execute, monitor, and recover sedation and anesthesia events.
• Assist with operating room duties as circulating nurse and scrub technician.
