We specialize in ER/Urgent Care, specialty services, surgery, and preventative care, ensuring the health and well-being of pets.

The Assistant Manager, in collaboration with the Surgery Manager, oversees the surgery teams, ensuring quality patient care through staff training and mentoring, and assists with staffing and administrative duties under veterinary supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee surgical staff and monitor workflow for ER and ICU patients.
  • Implement plans to minimize future risks based on feedback.
  • Lead training initiatives and conduct staff interviews.
  • Address staff performance and behavioral issues.
  • Complete at least one ACT course monthly.
  • Lead staff meetings and create staffing schedules.
  • Manage staff call-outs, vacations, inventory, equipment maintenance, and cleaning processes.
  • Administer employee discounts.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Patient data collection, restraint, assessment, venipuncture, IVC placement, sample handling, laboratory techniques.
  • Medication administration, emergency protocols, patient monitoring, anesthesia, surgical assistance, aseptic techniques, radiography.

  • Attention to detail in record keeping.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand for extended periods, lift/move weights up to 40 pounds.
Education & Experience
  • One year of veterinary experience.
