We are seeking Nurses in the Triangle area to work with medically complex children and adults in their homes.

Employee Role

The Private Duty Nurse (PDN) provides skilled nursing services directly or through a placement agency to clients in their residences. The PDN LPN works under the supervision of the Clinical Manager.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat clients under supervision, according to their needs.
• Provide continuity of care and emotional support to clients and families.
• Meet psychosocial needs resourcefully.
• Communicate client rights and responsibilities clearly.
• Make sound nursing judgments and recognize emergencies.
• Manage client services properly and demonstrate competent use of equipment.
• Document client care accurately and timely to ensure continuity across departments.
• Build relationships to promote client safety and compliance with care plans.
• Follow infection control policies and promote safety measures.
• Participate in community outreach and staff development activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

ADA Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs as needed.
• Use hands for tasks like gripping and handling objects.
• Reach overhead or beyond mid-line when necessary.
• Visual abilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment.
• Lift, push, pull, and carry at least 25 pounds.
• Stoop and bend up to 2.5 hours per shift.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Licensed as an LPN or RN by the North Carolina Board of Nursing, in good standing.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record; travel required.
• At least one year of home care experience; additional hospital experience preferred.
• Full-time work typically at least 30 hours/week on Saturday-Friday.
• Customer service skills, ability to work under pressure, and computer proficiency.
• Bilingual skills preferred.
