Job summary

Alpharetta Veterinary Specialty + Emergency (AVSE) seeks a second neurologist to join a new 20,500-square-foot facility in Alpharetta, GA. You’ll work under a Medical Director with Ethos Veterinary Health backing, contributing to a comprehensive surgical and emergency program.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state licensure.
• Board Certification in Surgery (DACVS) or completion of a surgical residency.
• Strong surgical skills and commitment to patient care.
• Strong communication and client-centered approach.
• Collaborative mindset with emergency and specialty services.

Responsibilities

• Balance time between consultations, case workups, and surgical procedures.
• Perform orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries using available imaging and surgical equipment.
• Collaborate with other specialties to support integrated case management.
• Help shape and grow the surgical service in line with hospital priorities.
• Work with a dedicated surgical nursing and support team.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners throughout the surgical process.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration and learning.
