Job summary

The MSPCA-Angell Boston is seeking a Veterinary Assistant or Technician for a full-time day-shift role in the Specialty Services Float. You will collaborate with internal medicine and other services to support examinations, hospital admissions, and routine tech appointments.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, injections, suture care, history collection, vaccines, and accurate EMR documentation. Candidates should have at least 1 year of veterinary experience and strong client communication

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year veterinary assistant experience or animal handling experience.
• One year of client service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with examination room support for outpatient and inpatient visits.
• Perform phlebotomy, urinary catheterization, and basic lab tests.
• Administer vaccines and medications under veterinarian guidance.
• Record patient data accurately in the electronic medical record.
