Job summary

Hometown Veterinary Partners is seeking a Shift Lead to join our hospital team in Crestwood, Missouri. The Shift Lead provides frontline leadership during assigned shifts, coordinating front-of-house and clinical support staff to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality patient care.

You will collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and reception staff, uphold hospital protocols, mentor teammates, and help resolve client concerns while maintaining a welcoming, efficient environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a veterinary hospital or similar setting.
• Strong communication and client service skills.
• Ability to train and mentor staff and manage shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline leadership during shifts and coordinate front-of-house and clinical support staff.
• Ensure protocols, standards, and safety measures are followed for smooth hospital operations.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and reception staff to maintain high-quality patient care and client service.
• Monitor patient flow from admission to discharge and manage staffing coverage to prevent bottlenecks.
• Mentor team members and address escalated issues or concerns with leadership.
