Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospitals seeks a Shift Lead to perform the duties of a CSC and/or veterinary assistant while providing leadership across shifts. You will collaborate with Practice Manager and COS to ensure clear communication with clients, associates, and leadership, and to maximize hospital productivity.

The role involves 20% leadership and 80% paraprofessional duties, including client education, documentation, and assisting with surgery as applicable. Weekend/evening work may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or veterinary technician certification/licensure preferred.
• Two years experience (healthcare, veterinary profession, service-type industry) required.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Medical terminology training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of a CSC and/or veterinary assistant/technician.
• Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and preventive care.
• Assist Practice Manager with staff scheduling and supervision.
• Ensure high-quality client service and smooth hospital operations.
