Sanford Animal Hospital is seeking a friendly, organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our front desk team. We are a busy, team-focused small animal practice dedicated to compassionate care and exceptional client service.

As one of the first people our clients meet, you will help create a welcoming experience while keeping the hospital organized and running smoothly. A consistent weekday schedule and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary or medical office experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• The ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliability and professional follow-through.
• Compassion when communicating with pet owners.
• Confidence working with computers and practice management systems.
• Experience with EzyVet or similar veterinary software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greeting clients and patients with a warm, professional attitude.
• Answering phones and managing multiple lines efficiently.
• Scheduling appointments and coordinating the hospital’s daily workflow.
• Checking clients and patients in and out; processing payments.
• Maintaining accurate client and patient records.
• Communicating with clients regarding hospital services.
• Discussing estimates and coordinating follow-up communication.
• Relaying messages between clients and the medical team.
• Coordinating patient care and client communication.
• Supporting veterinarians, technicians, and other team members at the front desk.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
