Santa Clara Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative to join our front desk team. As CSR, you’ll warmly welcome clients and patients, manage calls, reminders, and appointments, and maintain accurate records in our veterinary software.

The role supports smooth daily operations and patient care in a busy, compassionate environment. We value teamwork, dependable attendance, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Experience as receptionist or in customer service, ideally in veterinary or medical settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment with high call volume.
• Comfort around pets and their people.
• Familiarity with veterinary software (e.g., Avimark, Cornerstone) is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

About the Role:

As a CSR, you’ll be the warm, welcoming face of our clinic. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, has excellent communication skills, and enjoys working with both animals and people.

Schedule:

Full-time, four 10-hour shifts per week (3 days off weekly), with one 4-hour Saturday shift per month.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome clients and patients with compassion and professionalism
• Answer phones, manage reminders, and schedule appointments
• Maintain accurate records using veterinary software
• Process payments and invoices
• Collaborate with veterinary staff to support smooth daily operations
• Assist with client questions in-person and over the phone
• Keep the reception area & lobby tidy and organized

Qualifications:

• Previous receptionist or customer service experience (veterinary or medical setting preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment as well as manage a high call volume
• Comfortability around pets and their people
• Familiarity with veterinary software (e.g., Avimark, Cornerstone) is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Pay: $18–$20/hour, depending on experience
