Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative

Truckee, CA

Doctor's Office for Pets is seeking an outgoingClient Service Representative to serve as the welcoming face of our hospital. In this fast-paced role, you will create exceptional client experiences, build trust through compassionate service, manage appointments and daily patient flow, handle multi-line phones and in-person interactions, process transactions, and support clients with essential information about our services. Ideal candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrive in a team-focused customer service environment.

Schedule and compensation:

  • Compensation: $ 20 - $25 per hour, for each hour worked
  • This is a part-time position with shifts scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am-5pm.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

  • Previous experience in a customer service, reception, or client-facing role
    • Veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related experience preferred
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Ability to manage a multi-phone line system while assisting in-person clients
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating calendars preferred
    • Ability to accurately process payments and maintain financial records
    • Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with a team

We are a 2-doctor, full-service clinic and primarily see dogs and cats, however, we will treat reptiles, birds, and exotics on occasion. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
