Job summary

Val Vista Animal Hospital in Gilbert, AZ, is seeking a friendly receptionist to join our veterinary team. You will manage a multi-line phone system, greet clients warmly, and coordinate appointments with precise medical record handling.

You will educate clients on preventive care and hospital services while maintaining compassion and empathy toward every client and pet. A flexible schedule, including some weekends/holidays, is required, with on-site duties at our busy hospital.

Qualifications

• A passion for providing excellent customer service and a genuine love for animals.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage stressful situations with good judgment and a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative, team-first mindset and the ability to work both independently and with direction.
• Experience with veterinary software is preferred. A flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays, is required.

Responsibilities

• Be the Director of First Impressions: manage a multi-line phone system, greet clients with a positive attitude, and reflect our compassionate care.
• Ensure Seamless Care Coordination: maintain accurate medical records, manage appointment schedules, and handle financial transactions.
• Advocate for Pet Health: educate clients on preventative care and other hospital services for best care.
• Embody Compassion and Empathy: be a calming presence for clients, treating each pet with empathy and respect.
