At BluePearl Pet Hospital, our Veterinary Receptionists are vital to our hospital's success. You will be the first BluePearl Associate that clients see, ensuring each client receives the care and attention they need. You must be able to remain calm and compassionate in emotionally challenging situations.

As a Veterinary Receptionist :

• Greet clients with friendly eye contact and acknowledge them warmly.
• Maintain a friendly smile, strong eye contact, and approachable demeanor.
• Listen compassionately to clients.
• Speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the phone to ensure understanding.
• Assess clients' needs and pet conditions upon arrival.
• Determine if an emergency is 'stat' or 'standard'.
• Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
• Confirm all appointments in advance and provide accurate preparation information to clients.
• Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients discreetly and compassionately.
• Act as a liaison during handling of pet remains, ensuring a complete and respectful process.
