Responsibilities of a Receptionist

1. Receive and make calls for scheduling appointments.
2. Prioritize multiple tasks calmly and efficiently.
3. Maintain accurate records of client and pet information.
4. Assist clients with instructions, information, invoices, prescriptions, and scheduling.
5. Use hospital computer systems to document and communicate.
6. Manage financial transactions and maintain accurate balances.
7. Provide excellent customer service and professional communication.
8. Educate clients on pet health and hospital services.
9. Maintain a positive attitude and show empathy towards clients and pets.
10. Operate standard office equipment.
11. Understand veterinary medical terminology and procedures.
12. Work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
13. Experience with veterinary software is preferred.
14. Work independently and accept guidance as needed.
15. Organizational skills and critical thinking are essential.
16. Strong verbal and written communication skills, good judgment, and stress management.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay range: $16.00-$18.00/hour based on experience
