As a Receptionist, you will:
- Receive and make calls to clients for scheduling purposes.
- Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner.
- Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records, including referral documentation and medical history.
- Assist clients by providing instructions, information, invoices, dispensing prescriptions as per veterinarian’s instructions, and scheduling future appointments.
- Use hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and teammates.
- Manage the hospital’s financial transactions accurately, following cash and credit procedures, and proper opening and closing protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally.
- Educate clients on pet health, preventative care, and hospital services to advocate for pets.
- Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pets, and teammates.
- Show empathy towards clients and treat pets with compassion and respect.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficiency with standard office equipment.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
- Flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
- Experience with veterinary software is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and follow directions.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good judgment, and stress management skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
