Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls and emails and direct them to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients, and process payments. Our receptionists provide friendly, compassionate, and discreet emotional support to clients during times of need and must be comfortable discussing and navigating various medical outcomes.
This role also offers the opportunity to cross-train as a Veterinary Assistant (VA) and assist with patient care and hospital needs as appropriate. Cross-training provides valuable hands-on experience and the opportunity to expand your veterinary knowledge and skillset.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases.
