We are a full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care to dogs and cats, including routine medical, dental, and surgical services. Our experienced veterinarians are dedicated and compassionate, with over 40 years of combined experience. As a Receptionist, you will:
  • Receive and make calls to clients for scheduling appointments.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks calmly and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client and pet records, including referral documentation and medical histories.
  • Assist clients with instructions, information, invoices, dispense prescriptions as directed by veterinarians, and schedule future appointments.
  • Use hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and team members.
  • Manage financial transactions, ensuring accurate balances, following cash handling procedures, and performing opening and closing procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally.
  • Educate clients on pet health, preventative care, and hospital services to advocate for pets.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pets, and colleagues.
  • Show empathy and compassion toward clients and pets.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience with standard office equipment and veterinary software preferred.
  • Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures.
  • Flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions.
  • Strong organizational skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good judgment, and stress management skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Pay of $13.00/hour
