Job description

Bright Cross Animal Clinic, located in Venice, Florida, has been serving the community since 1998. We are a full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care for dogs and cats, including routine medical, surgical, and dental services. As a Receptionist, you will:

1. Handle client calls for scheduling and inquiries.
2. Prioritize multiple tasks in an organized manner.
3. Maintain accurate documentation of client and pet records.
4. Assist clients with instructions, information, invoices, and scheduling follow-up appointments.
5. Use hospital computer systems to record medical information and communicate with clients and team members.
6. Manage the hospital's financial transactions, including collections and cash handling, following proper procedures.
7. Provide excellent customer service and professional communication.
8. Educate clients on pet health, preventive care, and hospital services.
9. Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate empathy and respect towards clients and pets.
10. Utilize standard office equipment and veterinary software (experience preferred).
11. Work a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
12. Possess organizational skills and the ability to work independently and accept guidance.
13. Apply critical thinking to solve problems effectively.
14. Communicate clearly, exercise good judgment, and manage stressful situations.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay range of $17.00-$20.00/hour based on experience.
