New Berlin Animal Hospital in New Berlin, Wisconsin is seeking a friendly, part-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our fast-paced AAHA-accredited practice serving small animals and exotics.

The ideal candidate will handle front-desk duties, greet clients, schedule appointments, manage billing, and support our team with exceptional communication and multitasking.

Previous customer service and a love for animals are preferred; strong computer skills and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must have customer service experience and strong communication skills.
• Experience handling front-desk tasks and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort with computers and billing software; familiarity with animal care a plus.

Responsibilities

• Checking patients in, discharging patients, invoicing
• Provide customer service such as greeting customers, answering questions, processing incoming patients, and handling payments
• Answer phone calls which may include answering questions, scheduling appointments, and recording messages for doctors and staff
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email
• Update and file patient charts
• Enter data into computerized billing program
• Retrieve prescriptions
• Assist with pet supply purchases such as food, supplements, and grooming items
• Maintain the cleanliness of waiting room
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stoop, bend, and stand on feet for long periods
