Frontier Veterinary Hospital has an opportunity for a Full Time Veterinary Receptionist to join our team!

Location: 4500 NE Cornell Road Hillsboro, Oregon 97124

Compensation: $22/Hour

Job Summary: The Receptionist is the first and last contact that a client will have with the hospital and plays a key role in creating first and lasting impressions. The Receptionist must have excellent client service and communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to handle payments and financial issues, multitask, and maintain a friendly attitude. The role supports veterinarians, technicians, assistants, groomers, and kennel staff in daily patient and client care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and uphold the Core Values and Mission of MVP.
• Greet clients and pets warmly and professionally.
• Answer phones promptly, handle inquiries, and provide advice on animal care and services.
• Screen and route calls, take messages, and manage medical records documentation.
• Schedule appointments and surgeries, confirm bookings, and update records.
• Explain invoices, process payments, and verify client account eligibility.
• Update client contact information and scan documents into medical records.
• Fill prescriptions and provide routine administration instructions.
• Advise clients on retail products like flea/tick preventatives and dental care items.
