As a Receptionist, You Will:

1. Receive and place calls to clients for scheduling purposes.
2. Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner.
3. Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records, such as referral documentation and medical history.
4. Assist clients by providing instructions, information, invoices, dispensing prescriptions as directed by the veterinarian, and scheduling appointments.
5. Utilize hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and team members.
6. Manage the hospital's financial transactions, ensuring accurate balances and following cash handling procedures.
7. Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with clients.
8. Educate clients on pet health, preventative care, and hospital services to advocate for pets.
9. Maintain a positive attitude and show empathy toward clients and pets.
10. Utilize standard office and business equipment.
11. Have knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures.
12. Be flexible to work some weekends and holidays.
13. Experience with veterinary software is preferred.
14. Work independently and accept direction on tasks.
15. Possess strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
16. Communicate effectively, exercise good judgment, and manage stressful situations.

Compensation and benefits include:

• Pay range of $19.00-$23.00/hour based on experience.
