Job summary

The Animal Clinic of the Ozarks in Arkansas is seeking a friendly, detail‑oriented receptionist for a fast‑paced general practice. You will greet clients and patients, triage questions, schedule appointments, and process payments while supporting a small, close‑knit team.

The role offers opportunities for training and career growth, requires excellent communication and computer skills, and values compassion and teamwork. Experience in a veterinary setting is preferred.

• Minimum 1 year veterinary receptionist experience preferred.

Job description

The Animal Clinic of the Ozarks is a 2 Doctor, fast-paced, General Practice, that’s made an impact in the community: resulting in a very loyal clientele base. As they welcome all patrons, new and existing, they offer the best quality service to all small animal companions and pocket pets. Services offered range from In-House Diagnostics, Digital Radiology, Companion Laser, Ultrasound and Endoscopy procedures, and more. The current staff operates under a closet knit, family like environment to better create a positive, encouraging atmosphere. Hours of operation are standard, from Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm and closed on Weekends.

Job Description

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Maintain the visual appeal or the hospital reception area, greet and welcome clients and patients, answer questions and triage client concerns, answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution, schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, check in and check out clients and process payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes. Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases. Qualifications

• Experienced Receptionist with a minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred
• Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
• Highly organized and possess computer skills
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.
