Animal Clinic of the Ozarks is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our close-knit, two-doctor practice. You will support doctors, perform diagnostic tasks, and help with radiology, anesthesia, and patient care across a busy caseload.

We value teamwork, ongoing training, and strong client communication; benefits include CE allowances and a supportive schedule with weekdays 8am–5pm.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of veterinary technician experience.
• CVT, RVT, or LVT credentials are a plus.
• Strong communication and exceptional client service skills.
• Experience with laboratory sample collection and processing.
• Confidence with radiology and anesthesia monitoring.
• Knowledge of preventative care, surgical procedures, and day‑to‑day veterinary hospital operations.
• A dependable, self‑motivated approach and commitment to arriving prepared and on time.
• Openness to constructive feedback and a desire to continuously improve your veterinary skills.

Responsibilities

• Triaging incoming patients and obtaining accurate patient histories.
• Safely restraining pets using low‑stress handling techniques.
• Collecting, processing, and analyzing blood, urine, fecal, and skin samples.
• Performing diagnostic imaging, including positioning and capturing radiographs.
• Assisting with dental radiographs when needed.
• Providing nursing care for hospitalized patients with varying levels of stability.
• Administering medications and treatments as directed.
• Preparing patients for surgery and assisting during procedures.
• Monitoring anesthesia and surgical patients.
• Communicating treatment plans and veterinary recommendations clearly with clients.
• Maintaining accurate medical records and supporting efficient hospital flow.

Our veterinary team cares for small animals and pocket pets and offers a wide range of services, including in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, Companion Laser, ultrasound, and endoscopy.
