Wooster Animal Clinic is seeking a courteous, organized Veterinary Practice Manager to oversee daily hospital operations and staff performance in Northeastern Ohio. You will lead client service, scheduling, and administrative functions while ensuring high-quality care and compliance with all protocols.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of management experience (or 3+ years veterinary experience), strong communication, and excellent organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Experienced or Certified Veterinary Practice Manager with 1+ year of management experience preferred or 3+ years veterinary experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable in veterinary medicine terminology and how to run a veterinary hospital.
• Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator.
• Highly organized and possess computer skills.
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance knowledge and skills.
• Open availability with flexibility to change hours based on hospital needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, train, and develop hospital staff; provide feedback and performance evaluations.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, schedule, and manage team members with leadership.
• Support employee relations, resolve conflicts, and address client concerns professionally.
• Oversee daily office operations, including scheduling, workflow, and client service.
• Manage inventory, ordering, equipment, controlled substances, and vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, OSHA, DEA/controlled substances, and other protocols.
• Monitor payroll for accuracy and timely submission.
• Support marketing and community outreach to promote the hospital.
• Maintain accurate patient records and veterinary terminology in documentation.
• Communicate with clients regarding appointments, policies, costs, and treatment instructions.
• Collaborate with doctors and leadership to support goals and culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
