The role requires strong leadership, veterinary industry knowledge, and a commitment to staff development and patient welfare. This is a full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits at the Berkeley Heights clinic.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Veterinary Management, or related field.
• 2-5 years of veterinary hospital management experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team management and client interaction.
• Business acumen, including financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Proficiency in using practice management software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools.
• Ability to lift 40lbs unassisted.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to a veterinary team.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment and develop staff.
• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff.
• Develop strategic plans to improve operations, client satisfaction, and revenue.
• Monitor budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Oversee inventory management, procurement, and vendor relations.
• Ensure exceptional client experiences and address concerns promptly.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and QA protocols.
• Collaborate with marketing to attract new clients and grow services.
• Oversee facility maintenance and IT/system coordination.
