The role focuses on staffing, policy implementation, payroll, and staff development to ensure a well-organized, supportive hospital that delivers exceptional patient care and a positive client experience.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a veterinary team or medical staff.
• Strong knowledge of hospital operations and terminology.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Able to balance competing priorities and make fair decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, train, coach, and support hospital staff.
• Partner with leadership on staffing, hiring, onboarding, and performance.
• Recruit team members aligned with hospital culture and standards.
• Maintain staff schedules and appropriate staffing levels.
• Address staff and client concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain strong communication between staff, doctors, clients, and leadership.
• Manage inventory, ordering, equipment, and vendor relationships.
• Monitor product quantities, pricing, and controlled substances inventory.
• Help implement hospital policies including DEA and OSHA requirements.
• Ensure payroll is completed accurately and on time.
• Support patient records and veterinary terminology usage.
• Assist clients with questions about policies, services, and costs.
• Notify team of emergency cases and coordinate response.
• Represent and market the hospital within the local veterinary community.
