University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign seeks a Pharmacy Technician I for the Veterinary Teaching Hospital. You will support the Medication Dispensary, prepare medications, manage stock, and ensure proper labeling and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include handling deliveries, keeping the automated dispensing systems stocked, and assisting with client transactions while maintaining accuracy and safety in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician registration.
• Formal training in pharmaceutical procedures or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle medications safely.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drugs and medications based on prescriptions, selecting from stock and labeling.
• Manage inventory including stocking, expiring products, and ordering as needed.
• Operate Cubex dispensing machines and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Process transactions at the Dispensary window and communicate with clients.
