Job summary

The Comparative Pathology Laboratory (CPL) at University of California, Davis seeks an anatomic pathologist with expertise in laboratory animal diagnostic and experimental pathology. The staff pathologist will provide pathology support for CPL clients and mentor CPL residency and student training programs.

The position is 100% on-site in Davis, CA, with a 1-year contract and potential extension or conversion.

Qualifications

• ACVP certification required.
• Valid California driver's license and driving record per policy.
• DVM/VMD from AVMA-accredited institution; residency in veterinary anatomic pathology completed.
• Familiar with teaching methods including lectures, case-based learning, and digital pathology tools.
• Familiar with standard veterinary instruments used in the USA.
• Proficient in gross and histopathologic interpretation for diagnostic and research purposes.
• Ability to maintain accurate case records and teaching materials.
• Knowledge of laboratory animal pathology methods and special diagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities
