Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for Florida veterinary licensure.
• Board certification in Medical Oncology or residency training in Medical Oncology.
• Strong communication and a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Manage oncology cases in collaboration with internal medicine, surgery, emergency and critical care services.
• Grow the hospital’s Oncology service based on your clinical interests and professional goals.
• Oversee chemotherapy protocols and provide individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Mentor chemo-trained technicians, assistants, and support staff.
• Collaborate with referring veterinarians to provide continuity of care and maintain strong referral relationships.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic capabilities including ultrasound, radiographs, CT, in-house laboratory services.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful situations.
• Contribute to a positive hospital culture built on collaboration and continuous learning.
