You will work with internal medicine, surgery, and emergency teams, providing compassionate cancer care and engaging in client communication and growth of the service.

Qualifikationen

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for Florida veterinary licensure.
• Board certification in Medical Oncology or residency training in Medical Oncology.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
• A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing veterinary specialty medicine.
• An interest in working alongside an established Medical Oncologist to provide outstanding care and support the growth of the service.

Aufgaben

• Manage oncology cases in collaboration with internal medicine, surgery, emergency, and critical care services.
• Grow the hospital’s Oncology service based on your clinical interests and professional goals.
• Oversee chemotherapy protocols and provide thoughtful, individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Support daily client communication, including treatment updates, medication and refill questions, and ongoing case coordination.
• Collaborate with referring veterinarians to provide continuity of care and maintain strong referral relationships.
• Mentor chemo-trained technicians, assistants, and support staff.
• Pursue growth opportunities such as ultrasound training, ECT training, or clinical trial coordination.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic capabilities including ultrasound, radiographs, CT, in house laboratory services, and blood banking.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, communication, and continuous learning.
