The Role
- Full‑time, hospital‑based, working‑leader position overseeing medical quality and doctor development across assigned hospitals
- Lead, mentor, and retain associate veterinarians; foster an inclusive, collaborative culture that supports growth and engagement
- Provide clinical oversight and quality assurance through medical record reviews, audits, and patient safety initiatives
- Deliver veterinary services in a portion of scheduled time; the clinical-to‑leadership mix varies based on hospital needs
- Partner with practice managers to align team performance with care standards and operational goals
- Coach new graduates and newly hired veterinarians to build confidence in clinical, surgical, and dental skills

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active Ohio veterinary license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain) and proficiency in controlled substance management
- Proven clinical experience, including routine surgery and dentistry; prior leadership or mentorship experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills; comfort with computer‑based medical systems
- Ability to travel locally between assigned hospitals as needed
- Authorization to work in the United States
