Job summary

Small Door Inc. is expanding its Northeast network and merging with Bond Vet to deliver exceptional veterinary care.

This role leads a team of doctors, mentors clinicians, and partners with leadership to recruit, onboard, and retain top talent while maintaining Small Door’s hospitality standards. The successful candidate will manage clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality care and client satisfaction across the practice.

Qualifications

• DVM (or equivalent) with an active state license and DEA registration.
• Minimum 5+ years of clinical veterinary experience and leadership exposure.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and mentoring skills to coach a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat pets and counsel clients on care.
• Lead and develop a team of 1–5 doctors, fostering engagement and growth.
• Partner with Regional Medical Director and Talent team to recruit and retain veterinary talent.
• Coordinate doctor scheduling with Ops to ensure clinical coverage.
• Uphold Small Door’s hospitality and culture in interactions with members.
• Serve as clinical point of contact for escalated medical questions.
• Ensure service accessibility and patient care aligns with member needs.
• Monitor clinicians' performance, provide feedback, and support professional development.
• Collaborate with Practice Manager and Nursing Leadership to promote teamwork and open communication.
• Oversee practice financials and work toward budget targets.
