Job summary

IDEXX in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform diagnostics that support veterinarians and pet health. This full-time role includes comprehensive day-one benefits and extensive on-the-job training to help you grow.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-, 3- or 4-year degree in a Science-related field preferred.
• Experience with lab tests, microscopes, pipetting, or diagnostic analyzers is a plus.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in a laboratory environment with exposure to biohazards.

Responsibilities

• Use automated analyzers, microscopes and other lab tools to perform analyses and tests.
• Perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal or biopsy samples.
• Set up, run and read lab tests and release results per SOPs.
• Specialize in an assigned department and collaborate with team.
