Job summary

IDEXX is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform diagnostic tests and analyses on animal samples in our Irvine, CA reference lab. You will operate microscopes and automated analyzers, read results, and ensure accuracy per SOPs.

The role emphasizes teamwork, precision, and reliability, with extensive training and opportunities for advancement within a globally renowned veterinary diagnostics company.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; science degree preferred.
• Experience in setting up, running, and reading lab tests is a plus.
• Able to lift up to 50 lb and stand/sit for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in a team with reliable attendance.
• Experience with veterinary or human lab equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Use automated analyzers, microscopes and other lab tools to diagnose animal illnesses and support treatment.
• Perform tests on blood, urine, fecal or biopsy samples processed daily.
• Set up and run lab tests, read and release results per SOPs.
