Job summary

Fox Valley Technical College is seeking a Veterinary Technician program support specialist for the Apple Valley site. The role provides operational and technical support for classroom and laboratory activities, equipment maintenance, and program coordination in a veterinary teaching setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining IACUC documentation, coordinating animal care and transport, and supporting promotional events and student recruitment efforts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field is required.
• 1–2 years of veterinary field experience preferred.
• Technical proficiency with veterinary laboratory equipment required.
• Valid driver’s license may be required as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage IACUC documentation and animal use records.
• Oversee student care shifts and ensure animal welfare standards are met.
• Coordinate animal intake, discharge, and transport with record-keeping.
• Maintain inventory records for program materials and equipment.
• Support lab and clinical activities and assist instructional staff.
