Job summary

San Joaquin Valley College Inc. invites applications for a veterinary technology faculty position. The role focuses on delivering veterinary course material, maintaining accreditation standards, and supporting student success within a busy college program.

The instructor will mentor colleagues, participate in program reviews, and engage with industry councils to strengthen learning outcomes and employment pathways for graduates.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Veterinary Technology from AVMA/CVMA accredited program.
• RVT License or Veterinarian License/DEA License.
• Minimum 2 years field experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver course material in accordance with college curriculum.
• Fulfill administrative requirements for each course, including attendance, SLO assessment data, posting grades timely, and student outreach.
• Utilize student achievement and learning outcome data to develop program improvement strategies and participate in program review, assessment, design, and evaluation.
• Demonstrate willingness to develop proficiency in learning methodologies through continuous improvement.
• Ensure the program adheres to institutional, governmental, and accreditation standards.
• Mentor new faculty and participate in the Academy of Master Instruction mentoring program.
• Be on time and present as required, conducting full class periods.
• Act as a substitute instructor when needed.
