Job summary

GoodVets is seeking an Hospital Operations Manager to serve as the operational heartbeat of our veterinary hospital network. You will oversee daily operations, staffing, scheduling, inventory, compliance, and reporting to ensure exceptional care and client experience.

You will hire and coach team members, prepare monthly performance reports, monitor margins, and drive a culture of empathy, growth, and accountability.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a Hospital Operations Manager or similar.
• Three plus years in veterinary medicine with progressive responsibilities.
• Leadership skills and ability to train/mentor others.
• Advanced skills in Practice Management Systems and MS Excel.
• Basic accounting skills.
• Ability to implement and enforce SOPs and hospital protocols.
• Clear communication with hospital and corporate teams.
• Strong problem-solving and calm under pressure.
• Passion to make a difference in pets and people.

Responsibilities

• Lead all daily hospital operations
• Ensure compliance with operating standards and requirements
• Create and maintain accurate work schedules
• Hire, train, and onboard new team members—setting the bar for performance and culture
• Prepare monthly reports on hospital performance, staffing needs, margins, and trends
• Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching for growth
• Monitor inventory, manage ordering, and maintain cost control
• Support doctors, staff, and clients with clarity, speed, and professionalism
