Job summary

East Bend Animal Hospital in Bend, Oregon, is seeking a Veterinary Hospital Manager who combines strong emotional intelligence, exceptional people leadership, and operational expertise to foster a positive, collaborative culture.

You will partner with the Medical Director and leadership team to oversee daily operations, support team growth, and drive accountability and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of business management experience required.
• Veterinary hospital/medical or dental office management experience preferred.
• Experience within a veterinary hospital preferred (e.g. technician or receptionist).
• Exceptional communication skills with a collaborative, servant-leadership approach.
• Resilience and adeptness in handling emotionally charged situations.
• Proficiency in budget management.
• Experience with team training and supervision.
• Strong computer literacy and adaptability to new systems.
• Self-motivated with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
• Capacity to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Financial Leadership: Monitor performance, manage budgets, payroll, and drive data-informed growth.
• Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient workflows, regulatory compliance, equipment and inventory management.
• Strategic Direction: Partner to develop and execute long-term goals, expand services, and partnerships.
• Project & Facility Management: Lead daily operations, scheduling, and maintenance aligned with hospital goals.
• Client & Community Engagement: Oversee marketing, resolve client concerns, enhance experience, drive retention.
• Team Leadership: Manage department leads, hiring and staffing, foster inclusive workplace culture.
