Job summary

Allentown Animal Care in Allentown, PA is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our veterinary hospital. This role partners with the Lead Veterinarian and Community Veterinary Partners to support the team, deliver excellent client service, and meet hospital goals.

You will lead, coach, and develop hospital staff, handle hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, and performance management, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of veterinary hospital management experience.
• Emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop hospital team members.
• Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Oversee daily hospital operations, facility needs, inventory, and equipment.
• Address client concerns and promote a positive patient and client experience.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
• Partner with hospital leadership on budgeting, financial performance, payroll, and purchasing.
• Support marketing, community outreach, and client communication efforts.
• Manage administrative systems, meetings, and other hospital processes.
• Work occasional hospital shifts as needed.
