Boulevard Animal Hospital in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced Veterinary Hospital Manager to unite operational excellence with mentorship and a positive team culture. You will partner with Medical Director and regional leadership to guide the hospital toward growth, staying people-first and hands-on when needed.
The role emphasizes leading from the front, with responsibilities across finances, operations, client experience, and staff development in a multi-service setting.
Are you a natural leader with a passion for animal care and team development?
Boulevard Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Hospital Manager who brings together operational excellence, a talent for mentorship, and a genuine commitment to team culture. This is a practice with real roots — team members with 20+ years of tenure, lifelong friendships built within these walls, and a community in Raleigh that has trusted Boulevard for decades. We're looking for someone who can honor that legacy while leading the team confidently into its next chapter.
As our Hospital Manager, you'll work closely with the Medical Director and regional leadership team, taking ownership of daily operations and guiding the hospital toward continued growth and excellence. This is a role for someone who is organized, people-first, and ready to own their hospital — not someone looking for a hands-off management role.
One thing that makes this role unique at Boulevard: our ideal candidate is someone who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves. When the team needs it, we'd love a Hospital Manager who is willing to step in at the front desk or lend a hand on the clinical floor as a veterinary assistant. This isn't an everyday expectation — but the right person for this role leads from the front, and our team notices and appreciates when leadership shows up alongside them.
This is a full-time, in-person role with Saturday availability required. Boulevard also operates a boarding facility with overnight and weekend boarders, and while staff are scheduled for boarding care, call-outs may occasionally require phone availability outside of standard hours to coordinate coverage. We're looking for someone who understands that great hospital management sometimes means being available when it counts.
Boulevard Animal Hospital is a 3-doctor small animal practice nestled in the heart of Raleigh, NC — a city consistently recognized as one of the fastest-growing and most livable in the United States. With a recently remodeled facility, 4 exam rooms across nearly 4,000 sq ft, and a full suite of services including soft tissue surgery, dentistry with digital dental radiographs, and comprehensive diagnostics, Boulevard offers the clinical depth of a well-established practice with the warmth of a true neighborhood clinic.
What sets Boulevard apart is its people. This is a team with genuine longevity — staff members who have been here for 5, 9, even 20+ years — and the kind of close-knit culture where colleagues become lifelong friends. The team operates Monday through Friday, plus a boarding operation that adds a layer of operational complexity and opportunity. The right Hospital Manager will see both as a feature: a busy, multi-service environment where no two days are exactly the same and where your leadership truly makes a difference.
Located in Raleigh's vibrant West Boulevard corridor with proximity to NC State University, Research Triangle amenities, and the best of North Carolina's outdoor recreation — Boulevard is a great place to build a career and an even better place to call home.
