Qualifications

  • 3+ years of leadership, business management, or operations management experience
  • Veterinary hospital management experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree and CVPM/LVMT strongly preferred

Animal Care Center of Carters Creek is seeking an visionary Veterinary Hospital Manager to lead our thriving 6-doctor practice during an exciting period of growth and transformation. With a brand-new boarding facility recently completed and a facility renovation planned for 2027, this is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on a well-established hospital and help build what comes next.

In partnership with our Medical Director, and our regional leadership team, you'll drive operational success, support continued growth, and lead the hospital confidently into its next chapter.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Financial Leadership: Monitor hospital performance, manage budgets, oversee payroll and financial operations, and drive business growth through data-informed decisions.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient workflow, maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, DEA, VMB), manage equipment and inventory, and implement hospital policies and procedures.
  • Strategic Direction: Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute long-term goals, expand services, and support referral and business partnerships.
  • Project & Facility Management: Lead day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance while aligning administrative functions with overall hospital objectives.
  • Client & Community Engagement: Oversee marketing strategies, resolve client concerns, enhance client experience, and foster retention and growth.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and support department leads, oversee hiring and development, maintain staffing levels, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Schedule, benefits and compensation**:

This is a full-time, salaried position and schedule flexibility is required based on business needs.

  • Compensation: $72,000 - $82,000 annual base salary
  • Bi-annual bonus opportunities: Based on hospital performance
  • Hiring bonus package: $2000 based on credentials
  • CE allowance: up to $1,000 based on credentials

Your Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of leadership, business management, or operations management experience required
  • Veterinary hospital management experience required
  • Bachelors degree, Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) and/or Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (LVMT) strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
  • Experience managing budgets, staffing, scheduling, and day-to-day hospital operations
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable adapting to new technology and business systems
  • Bonus if you've had experience managing through or planning a facility renovation
