Greater Annapolis Veterinary Hospital (GAVH) is seeking a friendly, dependable Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. You will be the first and last point of contact for clients, ensuring a positive experience for pets and their families.

Ideal candidates are organized, compassionate, and able to multitask while delivering exceptional customer service in a busy hospital setting. This role requires flexibility for morning, evening, and Saturday shifts.

Qualificações

• Previous customer service, receptionist, or veterinary hospital experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and courteous in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable answering multiple phone lines, scheduling appointments, and handling client transactions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when maintaining records and processing payments.
• Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn veterinary practice management software.
• Ability to handle sensitive or emotional situations with empathy and professionalism.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing exceptional client service.

Responsabilidades

• Greet clients and their pets, creating a welcoming environment.
• Answer calls, respond to questions, and schedule appointments efficiently.
• Check patients in and out; maintain accurate client and patient information.
• Update medical records, client contact information, and appointment schedules.
• Coordinate with veterinarians and staff to ensure smooth appointment flow.
• Review invoices, process payments, and handle client transactions.
• Communicate hospital policies and services to clients.
• Handle client concerns with patience and professionalism.
• Assist with prescription refills and communicate with the medical team.
• Maintain a clean, organized reception area; support team as needed.
