Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a veterinary receptionist is required.
• Experience with veterinary practice management software; Cornerstone, Avimark, ImproMed, eVetPractice, or ezyVet preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to handle high-volume client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in clients and patients; verify and update medical records using practice management software.
• Answer multi-line phone system; address scheduling, refills, vaccination records, and hospital information.
• Process payments, post charges, explain invoices, and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Communicate medical information compassionately, including end-of-life discussions when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate EMR and data entry in PIMS.
• Coordinate with veterinarians and staff to manage patient flow and urgent cases.
• Maintain reception area cleanliness and organization for a positive client experience.
