Job summary

Wilkes County Veterinary Services in Washington, GA, is seeking a full-time Veterinary Receptionist/CSR to join our busy mixed-animal practice. You’ll greet clients and pets, manage phones, schedule appointments, and support the veterinary team while delivering compassionate, organized client service.

You will handle estimates, payments, records, reminders, and educational guidance on routine services and preventive care, contributing to a positive client and patient experience daily.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, client service, receptionist, or front-desk experience required
• Comfortable with computers, scheduling software, EMR, and multi-line phones
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Friendly, professional, dependable, and empathetic toward animals

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets, check in/out, create a welcoming front-desk experience
• Answer multi-line phones, respond to questions, relay messages to the team
• Schedule wellness, sick, surgical, follow-up, and other appointments
• Communicate professionally with clients about care, vaccines, and costs
• Prepare estimates, process payments, create invoices, and explain charges clearly
• Maintain accurate client and patient records and update documentation
• Assist with appointment confirmations, reminders, and referrals
• Collaborate with veterinarians and staff to ensure smooth client experiences
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
• Handle sensitive conversations about expenses with empathy and professionalism
