Job summary

Suffield Veterinary Hospital in Suffield, CT is hiring full-time and part-time Front-Desk Receptionists to be the first point of contact for our veterinary clients. We seek a customer service professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and loves animal care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist or medical office assistant preferred, but training is available.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Calm, professional, and positive demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets, complete the appointment sign-in, confirm details, and escort to exam rooms.
• Process payments, handle credit/debit cards, and schedule future appointments.
• Answer calls for appointments, hospital inquiries, refills, and reminders; make outbound calls.
• Understand vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, and veterinary terminology.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization for a positive client experience.
