Abqpetcarehospital offers a valuable externship for veterinary students in their clinical year at their Ohio location. This opportunity allows students to engage in hands-on clinical practice and understand the daily operations of a veterinary hospital.
Students will gather histories, perform exams, create treatment plans, and gain practical experience under professional guidance. Participants receive a stipend, medical benefits, and paid time off during the externship program, typically lasting between two and eight weeks.
An externship experience at an NVA hospital will give students the unique opportunity to understand the day-to-day operations of the practice and to gain valuable hands‑on clinical experience.

Externships at Animal Hospital of Worthington are reserved for veterinary students in their clinical year. The program typically lasts between two and eight weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules.
Veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel and living expense stipend. More information about stipend amounts and the stipend program is available through the Hospital’s resources.
Participants receive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with employer match, and paid time off, including sick time. For Colorado‑based students, additional paid sick and safe leave and public health emergency leave are provided in accordance with state law.
