NVA General Practice in Stillwater offers a veterinary externship program providing students with hands-on clinical experience and insight into day-to-day operations. Students will gather histories, perform exams, create treatment plans, and assist in surgeries while communicating with the medical team.
The externships last from two to eight weeks, including a travel/living expense stipend of $500 specific to the Stillwater Veterinary Clinic, supporting students financially during their training.
Students will gain hands‑on clinical experience and understanding of day‑to‑day operations at an NVA hospital, in an environment that supports excellent medicine and exceptional service to animals and owners.
Externships range from two to eight weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules. Veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend.
