Overview

Join to apply for the Veterinary Extern - General Practice role at NVA General Practice. This externship provides hands-on clinical experience and a view into the day-to-day operations of a veterinary practice. Responsibilities

• Gather patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and diagnostics, including dentistry services as appropriate.
• Observe, assist, or perform surgical procedures and provide medical management of patients.
• Enhance communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.

Program details

• Externship length ranges from two to eight weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules.
• Open to third- and fourth-year veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education.
