Job summary

Abqpetcarehospital offers a student externship at Sanlando Springs Animal Hospital, part of the National Veterinary Associates (NVA). This externship provides veterinary students with hands-on clinical care experience, focusing on medical technology such as ultrasound and laser therapies.

Position Overview

Student externship at Sanlando Springs Animal Hospital, a National Veterinary Associates (NVA) hospital. The externship focuses on clinical care and medical technology, including ultrasound, CO2 laser, and therapeutic laser, offering students hands‑on experience.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient histories
• Perform physical examinations

• Develop communication skills by working with the medical team, support staff, and clients

Duration

Externship periods range from two to eight weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules.

Eligibility and Stipend

Execthons are offered to veterinary students in their final clinical year. Students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel and living expense stipend.
